Are you feeling bombarded by all your options to communicate your words to the world?
Hey there, I’m Jessica, a freelance writer and editor who specializes in content creation for the health and wellness industry. I want to save you time and headaches by writing clear, concise content that will drive people to your business.
I formed this company because I get so fired up about the written word and believe any business or any individual can benefit from hiring a writer.
I have a reputation for being dependable, easy to work with, kind-hearted and a solid writer. And I can spot grammatical errors like a night hawk! It probably helps that I wear my glasses or contacts all the time, too…
My experience includes newspaper feature writing, blogging, marketing content creation, social media management, digital marketing, screenwriting, training content creation, business plan editing, copywriting and editing, and creative writing. I have many years of service in corporate retail and and as a floral designer. I hold a BA in Communications from UW-Madison, a Digital Marketing Certificate and Social Media Marketing Certificate from the University of St. Thomas, and a Business Writing Certificate from the University of Minnesota. My work also exemplifies my passion for holistic medicine, clean eating, and organic everything. I personally struggle with an autoimmune condition that impacts my thyroid and have had tremendous success managing my symptoms with real food, moderate exercise, and a conscious effort to improve my reaction to stress through lifestyle measures. I have spent the past four years partnering with functional medicine professionals and chiropractors to regain my health and in the process I have learned a lot about alternative health care, Paleo, and the Autoimmune Protocol.
Even the title of my company reflects these sentiments – I like to think of reversing autoimmune disease as setting a fire to my thyroid and revving my body up because that’s how it felt to start regaining my health. Plus, it’s a cool phrase from an even cooler movie, “The Crow,” which my closest friends and I obsessed and bonded over as angsty teens. A must see.
